UWE ROSLER's GRANDAD

bluevalentine says:

A few positives after the Arsenal defeat.
Defence looked a lot better - the 'chicken' worked quite well.
I thought Sun had a blinder again. Will the knockers please leave the lad alone.
We have now got a real goalkeeper.
Shuany is back to his best.
Nico DOES care!
Boss was very solid, don't think I saw him give the ball away

Neggys:
Sinclair is still b.useless
Macwaveyerarmsaboutaman looked ineffectual as ever
Nico out for 3 games

I can see no reason why we shouldn't stuff Spurs.

Bluevalentine says

"I'm hoarse.
Had a crap day at work, our sales manager who is a mate and a fantastic guy and who's done a great job for F&W is going back to NZ. He sprung this on me at 5.45.
After a 'fish supper' (verra Dumfries, that) I meandered up to the tennis club to watch the match. At half time I wondered wtf am I doing here. I was mentally composing my farewell to City and going home to look for the old QotS shirt.
4 goals and five brandies later....
Jon Macken, sorry I ever doubted you. Anyone who slags Dizzy can shut the f*ck up... "
Funny old life.

Great stuff BlueVal, we may be needing this long term, still no response from Dougie so we may be persona non grata big stylie!
I will circulate the link to the email addresses I know and ask them to do the same. Maybe we can devise wys of 'advertising' it using an MUEN campaign? Suggestions from the admiral would be helpful!

Speak to you soon old pal.

What's going on?
Read something about a Bisch transfer 'breaking down'. Has he had the nod from Psycho do you think?
I wouldn't sell anyone until we see what SP intends to do with the squad. With the possible exception of
a) Mills
b) we got a mega - and I mean MEGA - offer for Shauny.
Can't wait for the Spurs game - not too depressed if we get stuffed as long as it's interesting, footballing, thought-provoking stuffed.
For a City fan I think predictability is a bigger fear than lack of success.

BV, my understanding is that Bischoff is the reason that McCarthy was allowed to go. he was offered a month on loan at Hammers but turned it down in the hope of getting a run out from Psycho.

By the way, Will Psycho have the balls to do things like that or will he take the view that he needs to grind out results to keep in the job?

I had an excellent reply to that letter I sent to Wardle, signed by the CEO. I will give you the text of it when I get the time.

Perhaps a letter to Wardle suggesting that Psycho should be encouraged to play the lads he thinks ready and suggesting that Psycho be told that a few points lost in games where this is happening wont affect his summer job prospects?

I note that Blend has posted on MUEN giving his email to Izzeteers for an update. Gen Berko has posted asking for help. I have stuck one in on the Reyna link too BV so hopefully we are away. Jensen should be able to contact a few with luck, he found me and put me right last time it fell over!

Its been a very long couple of days trying to get by without Uwe Rosler. Especially at work where i've recently been relying on the thread to keep my sanity.

Is anyone else starting to think Doug may well have forgotten about the good ship izzet, and we've been drifting along captainless for the last year or so?

The following quote came from Psycho on the MUEN after last night's Stiffs win over Villa 2/0

From the MUEN

The stiffs beat Villa stiffs 2/0 last night on the MUEN was the following quote from Psycho

Pearce was happy with the Reserves' performance, although he admitted the match had been a "bit scrappy". He added: "All the young players have an opportunity to break into the first team. We've got a lot of talented lads, so it's up to them to force their way in."

Mikkel Bischoff, who yesterday turned down a loan move to West Ham United in a bid to further his first team chances since Kevin Keegan's departure, figured at the heart of the home side's defence on a blustery night at the Regional Athletics Arena.

The Danish centre-back, who has been on loan to Wolves this season until a shoulder injury saw him return early, was solid at the heart of City's defence and Pearce believes the young star has a "good chance" of becoming a regular.

"Mikkel is a good young player. He's got every chance of getting in the first team," added Pearce. "Nedum (Onuoha) is another good p layer who has a chance (in the defence)."

This is also taken from the MUEN site

Quote:
FORMER Ajax coach Co Adriaanse has expressed his interest the Manchester City manager's job, claiming a move to England would be "superb".

Adriaanse, currently boss at AZ Alkmaar and respected as one of the greatest tacticians in the game, has been tipped for the post by the Dutch press.

And the 57-year-old has revealed he is interested in the vacant Blues hotseat after being linked with the job.

"I have seen the reports on TV, but there has been no contact," he told Dutch website voetballonline.nl.

"They are, however, a big club and to work in Britain would be superb."

Adriaanse has guided unfashionable club AZ to second in the Dutch Eredivisie - breaking the traditional stranglehold of PSV Eindhoven, Ajax and Feyenoord - and they are challenging PSV for the title.

The coach's contract with AZ expires at the end of this season, and Adriaanse has already indicated he will move on.

"My challenge is abroad. I love attacking football. I walways try to playin the half of the opponent and I want to try to prove myself and that I can also bring my philosophy abroad," he told Sky Sports.

"So I think I can also succeed abroad."
Interesting..
