TUBI you're a star my man..
This has to be you.

From the MUEN............

Mary you are out of line. It's not just you Manchester fans who keep the club going. We do buy the merchandise to help out you know. Weatherwise I would prefer sunny Malta anytime. I would only like to live in Manchester or close for football reasons. You're very much like a rat, once cornered, you go berserk. T'ultimate bl'instrument - the collateral would be the club itself. Abramovich put all the money on the table and Glazer is not. Simple really. That is why the fans will pay dearly for it.

Eric The red its far more important what people say,not how they spell it,I always thought Canada to be cold full of anti English and very boring. Manchester for me is the best place there is you must be a real sad person that you have to get on a United site half way across the world.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's very easy for fans to dismiss opposing views, as mindless, anti-united work. I have no particular feelings regards to both sides, but I want the best for United. I think the Glazier takeover would usher in a new era, of what I belive to be a static and stagnant era for the club. Ferguson (legend) is getting on, and he doesn't seem to have the drive and determination that he once had. We still rely heavily on the old guard, and although we have a few good youngsters coming through, I don't think out squads compare well with the gunners or Chelsea. I want the best for our club, and mindless anti-glazer campaigns seem to lack substance and seem to be just attemting to make a name for anti-fans. We need dialogue between both poles of the debate, not minless slagging between both camps. No one has proved to me that Glazer would have a negative effect on the club. He choses to borrow money, simple economics eh. He has collateral, what's the problem?

THIS HAS TO BE BELLBOY!!!! Look at the name of the dog!

From the MUEN Site:-

Stu, lucky for you to be able to buy shares and have a say in controling the club. I only have my pension, being invalided out of Mather and Platt back in Thatchers time and its hard enoguh to buy milk and food for me and Bellbuoy my dog no money left for shares or owt like that. Still I manage and get to watch the Reds on my nephew Andys TV of a saturday. I'm not complaining. I went to WEmbley with United as long ago as 1957 (would you believe) and I've watched us win the European Cup. Ive no faith in tryants like the curent regime especially them two Irish what tried say Mr Ferguson didnt own there horse. But we have to move with the times and wile I dont like Yanks very much I think Mister Glazer may be a better bet than the Irish (not being racist). America is a bigger country than Ireland and richer.

By the way, Blue Val - I really don't know what has happened to my manners nowadays! MANY THANKS for the temporary accomodation...

Good points about the players Alph but I'm not convinced that Flood is ready for a start yet - his confidence seems to have been affected by the way he was treated by KK. Croft has to be the better option but Flood can come on as Substitute to get him motoring again. You guys are correct - Thatcher IS injured, so that puts Jordan in, I would assume, unless he decides to play Onouha there (but I don't think he will, because that would send out the wrong signal to Jordan) - other than that, I think my guess at Psycho's 1st team & formation will be pretty accurate (I'm modest, aren't I? )

Jordan's elevation into the team therefore allows Flood to be on the bench now too....now how do I find a space on the bench for Macken, Sommeil or Bischoff, not to mention Ireland?????

One day my memory will come back...I just can't remember where I left it...

Welcome back, Jenners - good to see you.

Hilarious posts on MUEN, Tubi and the rest of you. Class acts.

(By the way, keep your eyes peeled for posts from notorious pundits such as 'The Truth' from Denton and 'Muppets Galore' from Olde Trafford....they help me to rein in the split personalities... )

Yes Yes, I know I'm hogging the limelight this fine morning

Thought the hairs on the back of your necks might react in the same way mine did upon reading STAR MAN Danny ******* MILLS' latest offering - our intelligent full back...

'...has welcomed the departure of Kevin Keegan and claimed the former Manchester City boss' lack of enthusiasm was filtering into the dressing room. The combative full-back is never one to hold back his opinions and on the eve of Stuart Pearce's first match in charge at Tottenham, has opened the lid on the frustrations of life under Keegan.

After joining City on a four-year contract from Leeds last summer, Mills had been expecting to help the Blues push for a top-six spot...'

I'M NOT EVEN COPYING THE REST OF HIS GARBAGE...basically, he is not fit to play for City and the sooner he goes, the better, as far as I am concerned. You MUPPET, Mills - YOU are one of the biggest reasons why we are not faring better in the Prem!!!! Why don't you just shut the **** up and start focusing on the job you are paid to do??? It's only because of Keegan that you are here...

As you can see, I do not like Mills - I had better go before I fill the screen with expletives....

OH YES...hope City do the business today.

I reckon Red Harris is the mighty Captain Dunkirk in disuise Icy, the great style in the spelling mistakes and the tasty little 'quotes', all shout 'wordsmith' to me!

Poor old Ned. Never saw it but heard it described. The good thing would seem to be that he kept his head up and never moped about it. I saw the Reyna goal, a bit of class from Ned, Bart, Robbie and the Yank. From the 2nd half highlights it looked as though we deserved a point at least. Pearce's first post match IV was sensible. I hope that he keeps faith with the back four he played today for the rest of the season. Thatcher will go back to London if he gets the chance and the more chances that Jordan and Ned get this season the better. If Mills is benched then he too might look elsewhere and that would be a good thing. With Sun back next season do we need Mills or anyone else as a RB priority? I would have thought that a permanent LW and a decent striker would take priority. Macken and Sibierski can both do a job of sorts but we would be in pooh pooh avenue if Fowler were to be injured. Bradley might make the grade, dont know yet, but if he does it will be a couple of years before he has mastered the craft and strengthened up.

I though Joey looked to have stepped up a level yesterday. Still alot of room for improvement but I am getting to be very hopeful (if not quite as hopeful as Berkoz!)

Musampa had a good 2nd half. Do I detect that he is starting to get whinged about on the MUEN comment pages? I think he's alright, not a superstar but definely better than any other option we have.

Mills and James should shut their fat mouths off the field.

Alph

Got it, Tubs. It's based on a posting system - n posts gets you to Pizza Joint and so on. But I can't resist playing god occasionally... hence Alph's demotion - that'll teach the bugger to moan about his (lack of) status

Not sure whether it's a permanent billet, Berko. I've got no objections, though it must make strange reading for my regular visitors! I'll check with my site guru and overlord to see if it causes any complications.
Meanwhile enjoy your stay and welcome.
IZZET LIVES!!!

ps Just noticed that those clever beggars from Google have planted 2 ads for Rags tickets on the page - it's al done by mirrors and technology. Initial thought was to tell them to gtf out of there but then I considered... no, let's click on the Ragads, eventually my landlords will get a cheque from Google and will have boundless goodwill for yours truly. And the Rags will have made a contribution to Izzet's longevity, tee hee!

Alph - demotion is only a state of mind old son, and temporary as we Izzeters know! Anyhow, for being a clever sod and spotting that Red Harris (renegade cousin of Reg Harris of Byker) is indeed the good Captain in disguise I'm going to find you a designation worthy of your great gastro-capacity. BTW, did you like Red's address "E.G Moston"? I mean, how else would yer average Rag respond to an invitation to offer up a place of residence "e.g.Moston"?!!

ps I've put up an explanation on the site - under a thread "Uwe Rosler's grandad - Izzet- Izzeters - with the dual purpose of attracting any of the old gang who might Google "Izzeter".
Whither Bell Boy? - missin' ya already!
Likewise Streak, anybody got an e-mail address?

Ooops just had a thought, lads. Bell Boy and Doug, they aren't one and the same are they????

Couple of bits of Psychobabble after the spurs game

1. One or two were struggling in the last fifteen minutes
2. I didn't see the Barton thingy

If this means
1. Extra training for this bloody lot come Monday
2. If you get whacked, sort it, don't come moaning to me

the boy Psycho has made a bright start, a refreshing lack of Keeganballs here! Maybe no need for a continental professor like Staus Quo!

Hhmmmm. I recall a post on the boards of the former parish of Izzet from our Andalucian ex pat colleague. The content was casting doubt upon the veracity of the rightful claims of the FEC to the armband.

May I offer the performance of our combative youngster as evidence to the contrary.

When one thinks of the defining spirit of a team one thinks of the blood drenched forms of messers Butcher, Ince and Wright, 3 of the hardiest lions of England.

Does Psycho need look any further for a personification of his own spirit on the field and do we need to look any further for proof of the passion and commitment to the blue cause that is re-born in the embodiment of J.Barton esq. ?

Still, shame about the result.....

Blue Val, there is certainly little wrong with a well tooled Hamburgher.

I agree with your comments re Psycho.

I thought that he sent out the right signals and that Joey showed maturity both on and off the pitch.

Re: the site. What would the implications be of asking your site landlords to set us up. Would it be a 'bra and jambe' job?

It's great to have this home but your 'gastro nerds' might well not relate to us long term?

Also your idea re finding a way to let old hands 'google' us is good.

Ta mate

Alph

Oh by the way BlueVal, the 'trained killer' took bronze in the British national university comp Saturday and was the top British national under the qualifying age. All that training in Dublin seems to have paid off!

Good news, I've found Streaky so we will get some good sense back on here again soon!

That makes bellboy the next target. I wonder if that speculation from BV was right? Could bellboy be Dougie?

Lots of 'stories' this morning about SWP's possible summer departure, and the reduction of City's £62M debt. Well, am I just not reading this correctly, or has Nico's sale not made any inroads whatsoever into that debt? Despite the result, I'm very impressed with SP so far. It must be very difficult to go about your daily duties while all and sundry are talking about who's going to come in to replace you in the summer. I'd say that if we finish the season with a flurry, lets give him a twelve month deal and tell him to get on with it.

By the way, does the address wwwadmin@cccljuniors.org.uk mean anything to anyone? I've managed to find this address (don't ask how!) whilst searching various "Blueview" links and have mailed it to see if I get a response. I'll let you all know if I here anything. Meanwhile, just in case we suffer another crash, my email is s.elliott@doeflex-vitapol.co.uk. Alph has it, and anybody else is welcome to use it - just in case!!

Well here I am - Alph managed to locate me by going through the "Talkincity" contributors list apparently, quite an effort I'd say. Thanks to Blueval for putting us up. Soon as I saw the messages I knew it was bad news, looks like the plug got pulled. I have bluealf's email so I'll pass this onto him. I'm over in the IoM quite soon and going to pop in to Port Erin so I'll pass it on to IoM as well. I was over in HamsterJam from Thursday to Sunday so I only caught the rather brief highlights. Didn't look too bad but the lack of pace was revealed yet again. I liked the way JB and SP handled the incident with Otouba - is his first name really spelt that way Timothee ? - and he's probably going to get a three game ban.

I take a more relaxed view of Mills and James's comments. They are both experienced players and it's clear from things that have come out over the last nine months or so that they regarded the training regime and preparation for games as a total joke and seriously unproffessional. The fact that they are bothered enough to raise a stink about it is a good sign for me and their having to go to the press shows how far the rot had gone under KK. Mills made some very critical comments about the training soon after he came which were meant to be private but got picked up by the MuEN while James was the key figure in the "players' revolt" which played a key part in us avoiding the drop last year. I know that there were complaints from the players about the amount of time they were being given off this year as well.

Good news from the stiffs btw, we did Villa 2-0 last week and that puts us 3 points behind the leaders (rags) with a game in hand (against Wolfs). We still have to play the rags at home so we have a great chance to win that league - Blackburn are the other team with a real chance.

Welcome home Streaky.

It really is starting to feel like the old place again. I hope that the gastronomers and viniculturalists remain tolerant of us until the boys in Q dept. decide our long terms fate.

Those morons at DC have little to occupy themselves with today and so have regurgutated the "(insert any club you fancy) in summer swoop for SWP ?!??" story. I'm not sure which is more tedious; the contrived stories, the Gary Owen / Peter Barnes axis of illiteracy or the subsequent bogus comments from Ernie, Cletus and Goober from Pigsknuckle Arkansas.

It all gets a bit tiresome when there's nowt left in the season other than the mirthsome rag-baiting.

When can I become a swanky, if overpriced bistro in the 'burbs.

I remain
