Visible edibles

Is it me or have table manners gone by the board these days? My family were far from ‘top drawer’; I spent my formative years in a two-up/two down in a working class suburb. Yet, from an early age I mind my mother and my aunts drilling into me and my cousins that we did not talk with our mouths full, lick our knives and such. The other day I was sat in a diner opposite a family of five. Everyone’s mouth seemed permanently open and I could see the food churning round like washing in a launderette, ugh!
